WHAT ARRANGEMENTS ARE THERE FOR YOUR CHILDREN?
Divorce, or the breakdown of a relationship is a stressful time on the parties involved, but none more so than on the children who often are not able to understand exactly what is happening, and why one of the parents is no longer around the home.
The first course of action for our family lawyers is to fully investigate whether it is possible to resolve your parenting matter through consent. Consent is the quickest and most cost effective method of resolving custody disputes, however it is not always an avenue available to all clients.
If there is no real prospect of reaching consent on a matter, our family lawyers are equipped to assist in the arrangement of an Family Dispute Resolution ('FDR') session with an accredited practitioner.
FDR is a compulsory step that must be attempted prior to commencing proceedings relating to parenting matters in the Family Court of Western Australia.
